Rice Pilaf

Spicy, aromatic, and perfectly fluffy! 🌶️✨ This PURVA Spicy Rice Pilaf is the ultimate main meal or side dish that comes together in one pot.

 

 

🛒 INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup PURVA Rice Pilaf Basmati rice (washed and drained)
  • 1 teaspoon PURVA Rice Pilaf spice * from the Rice Pilaf box
  • 2 tbsp ghee or vegetable oil
  • 2 cups vegetable broth or water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro & toasted cashews for garnish

 

👩🍳 METHOD:

 

1.      Sauté: Heat ghee or oil in a pot. Toast the PURVA Rice Pilaf Spice for a few seconds until fragrant.

2.      Toast: Stir in the washed rice and toast gently for 2 minutes to coat all the rice.

3.      Simmer: Pour in the water or broth and add salt. Bring to a boil.

4.      Steam: Reduce heat to low. Cook for 10 minutes or until the liquid is all evaporated.

5.      Rest: Turn off heat. Leave covered for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork.

6.      Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and Enjoy!
